Luanhekou wind power project enters installation stage

The first stage of Luanhekou wind power project has recently began and involves constructing the wind turbines, Hebei Daily reported on June 6.

A total of 23 wind turbines each with a capacity of 2.2 megawatts are involved in the first stage of the wind power project. The wind turbines are 120-meters high, and are expected to finish construction and be put into service this July.

The second stage of the wind power project, which has not started construction yet, will have  an installed capacity of 150 megawatts, and involve 64 wind turbines with 2.2 megawatts of capacity and four wind turbines which will have 2.3 megawatts of capacity.

Located in Changli county of Hebei province, Luanhekou wind power project was initiated in 2015 with a total investment of 1.65 billion yuan ($242.8 million), and is anticipated to generate 400 million kilowatt-hours of power each year when it is completed, earning revenue of 26 million yuan.
