A coordinated development memorandum has been signed to promote the development of the education industry in the newly established Xiongan New Area.
Officials from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei jointly held a meeting to discuss education development in the area.
Agreements have been reached to optimize allocation of education resources and probe ways for the integration of compulsory education in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The memo also includes issues related to building teams of teachers, training people with professional skills, and the coordination of the ideological and political education of college students in the region.
Previously, Beijing and Hebei signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the development of Hebei’s Xiongan New Area. The agreement states that Beijing will build one kindergarten, one primary school, one middle school and one hospital in Xiongan New Area.
