Zhao Kezhi, provincial secretary of Hebei province, met a delegation led by Chung Mong-koo, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, the largest automobile manufacturer in South Korea, in Cangzhou city of Hebei province on Oct 18.
Zhao welcomed the delegates and conveyed his congratulations for the operation of the newly-finished automobile plant, which is located at Cangzhou Industrial Zone with an annual output of 300,000 automobiles.
The Cangzhou-based Beijing Hyundai automobile plant which started construction just 18 months ago, is one of the industry relocation projects in line with the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional strategy.
It marks a breakthrough Hyundai Motor Group has made in its cooperation with Hebei province. It is also of great importance for strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Zhao pointed out that Hebei province will make great efforts to provide better services for the Cangzhou plant to support its development. He also expressed his hopes that Hyundai Motor Group could manufacture more types of automobiles at the new plant in the future, in order to deepen collaboration.
Chung Mong-koo thanked the Hebei government and introduced the development achievements of Hyundai Motor Group to attendees. He said that the company will aim to build a high-tech and energy-saving automobile plant in Cangzhou, in order to lay a solid foundation for further cooperation.
