Diaolu Shaobing

Diaolu Shaobing, or named clay oven roll, is a traditional food for Hui people in Houjie village, Huanghua city, Hebei province, which has a history of around 120 years.

Clay oven roll is made from wheat flour, oil, sesame seeds, and salt or sugar (Clay oven roll is divided into salty varieties and sweet varieties).

After roasting in an oven, clay oven rolls boasts a crispy crust with a strong fragrance of wheat and sesame, while the inside is soft.
